I was born in Baton Rouge, LA and raised in a pastor’s home with two older brothers and one younger sister. After growing up in the Northwest Florida area, I attended Troy State University in Troy, AL and graduated with a B.S. degree in Special Education (K-12) and a B.S. degree in Elementary Education (K-6). I have been an educator in Alabama, Florida, and North Carolina.  I have three grown children. I enjoy being outdoors and cheering for the Tennessee Titans. My two favorite Bible verses are Jeremiah 29:11 and 2 Corinthians 5:17.
