Missions

This annual trip in cooperation with the Buncombe Baptist Association takes place typically in July. 

Since 2014, our church has taken annual or semi-annual trips to Guatemala to minister with Catalyst Resources International. We build homes and stoves. We also have ministered through health clinics and eye glass clinics.  

Our clothes closet is housed in the Lower Level underneath the gym. It is open on Wednesdays from 12-3 pm. The clothes closet provides free clothing.

The Community Outreach Ministries performs light repairs on homes in our community. They also build ramps for those who might need temporary or permanent access to their home via a ramp. 

Each year we bring the Dental Bus from the North Carolina Baptist Convention to our church to minister to our community through providing free dental services.

Queen for a Day is an annual event typically on the first Saturday in October whereby we host women from local shelters providing them a meal, clothes from the clothes closet, haircuts, and a gospel message.

Each year we spend a Wednesday evening packing 10,000+ meals to be sent around the world. This event is "The most fun you can have in a hair net."

OCC is an annual event in October and November whereby we involve the entire church to pack shoeboxes to go around the world spreading the gospel through Samaritan's Purse Ministries. We also have a room dedicated to this ministry throughout the year.

We have an active Disaster Relief Team that serves with our North Carolina Baptist On Mission. This team travels to disasters to share the love of Christ. There are annual trainings for new individuals to join the team.

This annual collection takes place around Christmas and then our Deacons serve families in need by issuing Ingles gift cards for their grocery needs.

The North American Mission Board is part of the Southern Baptist Convention. We support NAMB through our regular Cooperative Program Giving and also through the Annual Annie Armstrong Easter Offering.

Swannanoa Valley Christian Ministries serves the Swannanoa Valley through financial assistance, a food pantry, and other felt needs. We support SVCM through financial contributions. Some of our church members are volunteers there.

The International Mission Board is part of the Southern Baptist Convention. We support the IMB through our regular Cooperative Program Giving and also through the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering.

We partner with the North Carolina Baptist Convention to be active in our state through evangelism, church planting, and church revitalization. We support NC Baptists through our Cooperative Program Giving and the annual NCMO offering in September. 

MAPS is the Buncombe County crisis pregnancy service. We partner with MAPS through an annual Baby Bottle campaign in May and also have helped prepare their new work space.
