I was born in Tampa, FL and raised in a pastor's home with three younger siblings.  The large majority of my childhood and adolescent life were spent in Northwest Florida.  I attended Troy State University (Troy, AL) and obtained both a B.S. and M.S. degree in Physical Education.  It was at TSU where I met Diane.  We were married on March 16, 1973 while students at TSU.  I obtained a M.S. and Ed.S degree in Administration from Georgia Southern University.  I spent 34 years in education as a physical education teacher/football and basketball coach and administrator.  During my college years, I worked in radio as a deejay/sports announcer.  I've been an adult Bible teacher for almost 45 years.
